Choco-Chip Granola Bars

Hi! Today I'm gonna share a recipe for granola bars! I actualy got it from http://www.fifteenspatulas.com/chocolate-chip-granola-bars/ and I'm sharing it on here!

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1.25 oz whole wheat flour (1/4 cup)
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup grapeseed oil (Catherine's recipe used canola oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the oats, flour, coconut, brown sugar, chocolate chips, and salt in a large bowl, and toss it all around with a spatula until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the grapeseed oil, vanilla, and honey until smooth and combined. Pour this all over the dry ingredients, and toss all the ingredients together until the wet ingredients have evenly coated all of the oats. Dump the granola mixture onto the parchment lined baking sheet and shape it into a large rectangle that's about 9x13 inches, and about 1 inch thick. I find the best tool to use here is a flat turner, to really press and compact the granola together, and square off the edges.
  4. Bake the granola rectangle for 40 minutes, until it's golden and dry to the touch. Cool the granola on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes, then cut into small bars with a really sharp knife.

3 Peas In a Pod

Hi! I'm gonna show you how to make a plushie today!
Template:

Directions by ME (easy for me):

Materials:
  • Felt
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Stuffing
  • Zipper (optional)
  1. Cut out all the felt pieces (reference off of template)
  2. Take the big piece and blanket stitch where there are dotted lines on the template. Then inverse and add a zipper (if you want)
  3. Put all the small ovals in groups of 4. Take 2 of the 4 and blanket stitch them together.
  4. Repeat step three for all the pairs. Then stitch two together, and inverse them. You should finish with three pieces.Stuff it, and add facial features!
  5. Put the three peas in the pod. Have fun!
Additional Info:
  • You could make more or less than three peas
  • You could make the peas customized to how you would like them. I made an albino one!
  • I personally like the zipper, because you don't lose the peas.
  • You can make felt letters and customize the pea pod! Put your name on it so no one steals it, or make a face of his own!!!

Kawaii Octopus Plushie

Hi! Today I will teach you how to make a Kawaii Octopus Plushie!

Template:
and here is a tutorial to go with it:

Here are MY directions (easier for me):

Materials:
  • Felt
  • Felt glue
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Stuffing
  1. Cut out all the felt pieces. Reference with the template.
  2. Grab the large ovals, and put them in pairs. Take a pair and blanket stitch them from top to bottom, but leave about 1 1/2 inches of space at the bottom (to stuff later).
  3. Repeat step 2 with the next pair. Then stitch the final two pieces together.
  4. Inverse the product. Now you can glue on any facial features. Stuff it now!
  5. Now pair up all of the small ovals. Grab a pair and start blanket stitching them together. Fill with stuffing as you go.
  6. Repeat step 5 with the other pairs. These will be the tentacles.
  7. You are done! Now glue the tentacles on the bottom of the octopus, and glue on anything else you might want on your octopus.
  8. Have fun with your new octopus!

Additional Info:
  • It won't be perfect the first time, I know. Practice makes perfect, REALLY! The more times you make one, the better it will be!
  • Only making 6 tentacles makes it easier to fit them all on, and it looks better.
  • Make your octopus unique! I made mine peanut butter colors, the front was light brown the back was dark brown. The tops of the tentacles were dark brown, the bottoms were light brown. I even added a pink mustache to go with the pink thread! You can also add:
A tail, uni-brow, cyclops eye, bow, top hat, googly eyes, every piece is a different color, arms, whiskers, or anything else you can imagine!
